Chipotle | Farming

The Chipotle fast food chain (owned by McDonalds from 1998 to 2006), produced this potent video on the state of farming and food production.  Willie Nelson lent his cred, which is virtually unheard of for a corporate campaign.

Chipotle released this statement about the sustainability video.  Chipotle also has a foundation to support the cause, and food personality Jamie Oliver seems to be on board, who was recently recognized by TED.

If they manage be a true and enduring thought leader on transforming greed and consumption into sustainability and responsibility, I'd be a customer for life.  And if past is prologue, the actual patience and benevolence exhibited by investors in lieu of profits will limit the success of any such effort.

At least they are keeping good company in the meantime.

Music from the Other Places

Live mixing up Police radio scanners and ambient music.  City by city.  Cinematic sound.

And then there's this, which was just written up in the Washington Post Express:

...Not sure what these guys are about with their really filthy garbage-bin-chic look, and rats.

...lastly I stumbled onto this... skip up to about 2 min ....the last half with the basket balls is pretty funny

Today my daughter decided to make a calculator.  When she cut it out, she created the tilt-screen feature.

Feelings on McArthur

Take advantage of the opportunity to get people's attention.  No, I did not do this, but someone in my neighborhood did, and it has been cracking me up ever since.

Favorite Jams

Sometime ago, Miss Paltrow and her friends posted their top dance jams on Goop.

The list is not new since DJ AM is no longer with us, but let it be known that many of these Jams do, in fact, stand.  --I say that as a DJ who plays them and witnesses the smiles, shouting, and booty shaking.

Go to it, folks.  Follow Prince.

Done yoga?

Lululemon produced this campaign that pokes fun at the very people they target.  Entertaining.
